instructions :

Piña colada part :

  • Blend together the lightly aged rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice and ½ oz of lime juice.
  • Add 1½ cups of pebble ice and blend again until smooth.
  • Pour into a hurricane glass.

Strawberry daiquiri part :

  • Blend together the aged rum, ¾ oz of lime juice and the strawberry.
  • Add 1½ cups of pebble ice and blend again until smooth.
  • Pour into the hurricane glass.

Garnish with a strawberry and mint sprig or pineapple chunk.

Note :

The original recipe use an homemade coconut cream. If necessary, try to add 1, 1½ or 1¾ oz of simple syrup in the “piña colada” mix.

This cocktail is also known as “Miami Vice”.

Batching :

Just multiply the ingredients and keep the 2 preparations in 2 separate bowls. Following example for 6 servings.

Piña colada part :

  • 27 cl column still lightly aged rum
  • 27 cl coconut cream
  • 27 cl pineapple juice
  • 9 cl lime juice
  • 1L pebble ice (½ of original recipe)

Strawberry daiquiri part :

  • 13,5 cl lime juice
  • 27 cl column still aged rum
  • 6 fresh strawberries
  • 1L pebble ice (½ of original recipe)

Zero proof alternative :

Just mix without both rums and double the strawberries.
